Yoga is the light that guides me through life. My initial relationship with yoga began as an opportunity to help my body recover from other activities, but it has become my mental saviour. I return to myself every time I step on my mat

My mission as a teacher is to help you connect with your inner self, moving mindfully and intentionally. I blend my training in rehabilitation and anatomy with traditional yoga sequencing for fun, unique flows. I love music and spend almost as much time picking songs for my playlists as I do picking poses!

Off my mat, you can find me treating patients as a chiropractor and gait coach. I love to run, bike, ski, swim, hike, read, and travel.

Tomoko Honda RMT

Tomoko was a national-level soft-tennis athlete in Japan for 15 years. Although this experience was very rewarding, the level of performance was physically demanding and as a result caused her many different types of injuries, often requiring treatment.

During this time it occurred to Tomoko that she would like to use her knowledge and experience to help others who are experiencing injuries and pain. This led her down the path of Registered Massage Therapy. After an extensive education, she was registered in 2007, and is currently working at a cancer rehabilitation clinic as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)

In 2013 she began the Yoga Tune Up teacher training course. The Tune Up program can assist in preventing issues by focusing on the 4 Ps: Pain, Posture, Performance and Proprioception. Combining her Registered Massage Therapist knowledge with the tenets of Tune Up, results in a program & practice that is effective and enjoyable.

Tomoko is passionate about teaching others. She provides a caring environment for others to learn, regardless of whether they are brand-new to experienced levels. She looks forward to seeing you in her class!

Yoga is a continually evolving journey for me and brings with it new discoveries about myself and life every day. I have practiced yoga to some extent most of my life but stress, a busy life and running injuries led me to a more dedicated practice in the last 10 years. The mindful connection of movement and breath that is foundational to yoga brings peace, awareness and clarity to my mind and rejuvenates and challenges my body. Yoga has encouraged me to embrace compassion, acceptance and gratitude and has helped to enrich my relationship with myself, my loved ones and the world in general. I am passionate about sharing all the benefits yoga brings with others.

When I am not on my mat I enjoy training with weights and am an avid cyclist. I love to spend time with family, camping, hiking and canoeing.

Presence is the practice.

I’m a yoga and meditation teacher with over a decade of experience helping people to connect with their inner stillness. My teaching blends movement, breathwork, and subtle energy awareness — creating grounded, nourishing spaces for rest, release, and reconnection.

Whether through guided meditation, yin, flow and wellness experiences, my class is about making spaciousness feel accessible, even in busy lives.  I offer options for your practice to be exactly what you need, encouraging pauses to explore your energy, breath and your strength. Let’s practice together soon.

Emilia

For the past ten years, yoga has been a practice I always find myself coming back to, helping to bring balance to my busy, on-the-go lifestyle. I recently became a certified yoga instructor in April 2024, which has been a goal of mine since I began practicing, and am excited to continue to learn about and share the many benefits yoga can bring with others.

What I love most about yoga is its dual nature – Yoga is as much a physical practice as it is a mental one. Each practice is an opportunity to mindfully move and connect with oneself, fostering both physical strength and mental clarity. I love the dynamic nature of yoga, where practice can be both challenging and fun, with no two classes ever the same.

Outside of yoga, I am a full-time elementary school teacher, where I enjoy incorporating yoga and mindfulness into my classroom routine, which my grade one and two students absolutely love! The benefits of yoga for my students are clear, and it’s incredible to witness how these practices help them develop focus, resilience, and emotional awareness at such a young age, and also helps to create a supportive and calm learning environment that extends beyond academics. Looking ahead, I am excited to continue my journey as a yoga teacher and sharing its benefits with others. Whether guiding students through a flow on the mat or fostering mindfulness in the classroom, I am committed to promoting wellness and self-discovery through the practice of yoga. I look forward to practicing with you

For over a decade, yoga has been a constant part of my life, helping me balance a busy lifestyle and recover from a lower back injury. In April 2024, I became a certified yoga instructor and I’m eager to share the many benefits of yoga -with others.

I appreciate how yoga blends physical movement with mental clarity. Each session allows me to connect with myself, enhancing both my strength and focus. The variety in yoga keeps it engaging, as every proactive offers something new and enriching.

Alongside my yoga practice, I work full-time as a registered early childhood educator, where I have the joy of guiding my kindergarten students, aged 4-6, and those in the school’s yoga club, ages 9-11, through yoga and mindfulness. It’s amazing to see how these practices foster focus, resilience, and emotional awareness, creating a calm and supportive environment.
